About Me

Jacqueline “Jacque” Clark (she/they)

I am an ACE-certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with 10+ years of fitness instruction experience. I live in Arlington, Virginia with my partner and our two cats.

I spent my youth in Irish dance competitions and soccer camps, and picked up my first set of weights as a senior in high school. I always found joy in movement, but my relationship with exercise was complicated by the fact that I grew up surrounded by anti-fat messaging. I have spent years deconstructing these ideas and biases within myself, and am still putting in the work today.

I built J. Clark Fitness to serve as an inclusive, affirming fitness space for those who don’t feel represented by mainstream fitness media and don’t want to participate in the diet culture of it all. Athletes of all body sizes, gender identities, races, nationalities, levels of ability, and levels of experience are welcome here. I strive to help my clients develop positive, long-lasting relationships with movement that will help them live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
