My Fitness Philosophy
J. Clark Fitness is committed to creating a safe, accessible, and fun fitness environment for all. Clients of all body sizes, gender identities, sexual orientations, races, nationalities, levels of ability, and ages are welcome in this community.
There are many health benefits associated with consistent physical activity, including enhanced mood, increased energy, reduced risk of disease and injury, and improved ability to perform everyday tasks (like playing with your kids, carrying all of your groceries in one trip, and helping your friend move into a new apartment).
Developing a consistent fitness routine as an adult can be difficult, especially while trying to simultaneously deconstruct internalized diet culture, weight stigma, and anti-fat bias. But movement is an important part of life, and exercise is a tool that should be in everyone’s self-care kit.
As your coach, I will help you develop a comprehensive fitness routine that will support your health, that you can adhere to long-term, and - most importantly - that you enjoy.
